ABOUT THE CHAMBER
The Bald Knob Area Chamber of Commerce is organized for the purpose of advancing the commercial, industrial, civic and general interest of the City of Bald Knob, and its trade area.
The Chamber has a membership of approximately 110 members. The membership represents both individuals and businesses that work to accomplish our goal as a Chamber. The governing body is a twelve-member board consisting of Chamber members voted by all members to represent the Chamber for a period of three years, with a rotation of four board members each year. The board meets monthly to handle all business of the Chamber.
In addition to work of the Chamber during the year, the Chamber has two functions a year that draw people to our area and also offer a time for our members to work together to celebrate the working of the Chamber throughout the year. One function is the Chamber of Commerce Banquet held in February each year, the other being Strawberry HomeFest taking place on Mother's Day weekend each year.
The Banquet usually has an attendance of 250 to 300 people, with a guest speaker and entertainment to make it an evening all look forward to attending.
Strawberry HomeFest is a fun weekend. The festival begins on Thursday night and ends Saturday night. Vendors from around the state and joining states bring their wares, a carnival is in town for the event, and the school and churches hold reunions and homecomings. The event offers games, contests, beauty pageant, a grand parade that seems to be larger each year, and live entertainment throughout the festival.
The Chamber welcomes all individuals and businesses in our area to join and help support our area.
